New to Netflix September 2016: Narcos, Luke Cage and everything else that’s new this month

Netflix is the perfect way to while away the hours on a rainy day, a quiet evening or a hungover Sunday, when going outside would literally burn you alive like a vampire. No matter what you do, it’s on those days that Netflix feels like it’s never updating, always stagnant. We’ve all been there at least once; scrolling through Netflix‘s strange categories – “Witty British Comedies” is an entire genre now? – wondering what on earth we’re going to watch.

So, if you’ve seen all of Daredevil, binge-watched your way through House of Cards, Orange is the New Black and Stranger Things already – and you’re dealing with THAT Game of Thrones ending – Netflix’s monthly update is here to help.

New to Netflix in September:

Starting from 1 September Netflix is getting another monthly injection of titles to watch. This month’s update isn’t anywhere near as beefy as August’s, but there are still a couple of interesting additions to keep an eye out for.

I’d recommend keeping an eye out for Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman in 2001’s Behind Enemy Lines, Season 2 of Narcos, Season 3 of Chef’s Table and Marvel’s newest Netflix Original Luke Cage to round the month off.

Here’s everything coming to Netflix in September:

Leaving Netflix in September:

After August saw too many titles disappear from Netflix, September is a safer month to venture into its archives. You may be disappointed by Hey Arnold! The Movie disappearing (although I’m pretty sure you won’t be), but beyond that, you’re really not going to miss out on anything.

Here’s what’s leaving Netflix this September:

1 September

The Crazies (2010)

The Double (2011)

Hey Arnold! The Movie (2002)

We Are the Freaks (2013)

2 September

Ram Lakhan (1989)

14 September

Tweeny Witches (2007)

23 September

Friday Night Lights (2010)
