4. The channel will now open inside your app. Tap Join.
   

If you know the channel’s name, follow these steps:

1. Open the Telegram app.
   
2. Tap the Chats tab.
   
3. Type the channel’s name in the search bar.
   
4. Find it in the results and tap Join.
   

The channel will show up in your chats tab. You’ll be notified whenever the channel gets updated.

How to Join a Channel in Telegram on an Android Device

If you’re an Android user, joining a channel on Telegram is a breeze. The steps are different if you only have a topic in mind or know the name of the channel you want to join.

If you only have a topic in mind, follow the steps below to find and join the right channel:

4. Tap Subscribe.
   
5. The Telegram desktop app will automatically open. Tap the three dots at the top-right corner.
