How to Unpin Someone on Snapchat

There are two ways to unpin someone on Snapchat. The first method is used to pin and unpin anyone you talk with on Snapchat. The second method is for unpinning a BFF, which is only available to Snapchat Plus subscribers.

1. Open the Snapchat app on your phone.
2. Scroll down to the Chat icon at the bottom of your screen to open all your chats.
   
3. Go to the chat with the person you want to unpin.
4. Long press on the conversation to bring up the pop-up menu.
5. Tap Chat Settings.
   
6. Select Unpin Conversation.
   

That person will now be unpinned from the top of your Snapchat conversation list.

Do note that if you block someone on Snapchat, they are automatically unpinned and removed from your feed.

How to Unpin a BFF on Snapchat

If you are a Snapchat Plus subscriber, you can have a BFF (best friend forever). Best Friends on Snapchat highlights eight friends with whom you interact regularly. You don’t get to choose them; the system automatically updates your Best Friends based on your most frequent interactions.

Although these friends are already all prioritized to make them easy to find, you also have the option to pin your Number 1 BFF to be able to reach them first. And you can unpin your choice any time as well. 

1. Launch Snapchat on your phone
2. Click the Chat icon at the bottom of your screen.
   
3. Locate your BFF with an emoji next to their name.
   
4. Press down on your conversation with them until the pop-up menu appears.
5. Tap Pinned as your #1 BFF to uncheck the checkmark.
   
6. Click Done to apply your changes.

Note that these friends are featured on the Send To and Chat sections for easy access, and only you can access them. Once you unpin the person, all these quick access will not be there anymore. 

If you don’t want to use the method above, you can pin another BFF, which will automatically unpin the former BFF. You can only have one Number 1 BFF at a time. So, selecting a new one will automatically undo the former. Pinning a BFF can be done the same way you unpin one. Selecting the “Pinned as your #1 BFF” against their name will make them your new pinned BFF.

How to Pin Someone on Snapchat
