  2. Tap on the Messages symbol at the bottom bar of your screen.
  3. Choose which user you’d like to unmatch with on the new window that pops up.

  4. Select the Shield symbol at the top right corner of your screen once you’re in the correct chat.

  5. Choose the Unmatch Only option from the Safety Toolkit menu bar that appears.

  6. Tap on Yes, Unmatch from the dialog box that pops up.

You’ve now unmatched that specific person, meaning they can no longer contact you and vice versa. Additionally, the person you unmatched won’t appear in your match feed again.

How to Report a Match on Tinder

If someone on Tinder makes you feel uneasy, you should report them. You don’t have to stay in a situation that makes you feel unsafe or harassed, and you should definitely not delete your Tinder account in such cases. Instead, you should report the match to Tinder. You should also report them to Tinder if you suspect the person is trying to sell you something.

  1. Select the Message icon from Tinder’s bottom navigation bar.

  2. Tap on the name you want to report in the match queue.

  7. Choose a description from the catalog that appears to report where the action happened.

The person you reported to Tinder won’t be notified. However, their profile will be permanently removed from your feed, and they cannot communicate with you again.
